Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an accomplished professor of psychology since 1993, and the director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely known as the pioneer of modern-day scientific research of eyewitness accounts from children's memories as well as the role of children victims in court settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded many grants and has been honored with numerous international and national distinctions. She has collaborated with numerous governments and organizations around the globe on studies and policy issues pertaining to children who are people who are victims of the law. She also serves as a consulting for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center), of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional groups, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was the president of the The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Family and Child Policy and Practice.
